Here are five things that you can start doing now, to get you ready for your swimsuit reveal.
Firstly, snacking, we’re all guilty of it but it doesn’t have to be all bad. Keeping your body going through a long day at the office is important, but make sure you’re snacking on the right things. Everyone loves a bit of chocolate or a bag of crisps but if you trade these in for fruit or nuts you’ll look in tip top shape for junk season. Try also having a second lunch around 3 or 4 pm. If you eat lunch at 12 or 1 pm it’s a long time ‘til dinner at 7 or 8pm. This way you’ll keep your energy high and keep away from the office cookies.
Next up, keep active! This may sound obvious but when sitting behind a desk at work we lose track of how long we’re sitting down. Make sure you’re getting up at regular intervals and even try walking home from work. You don’t always need to be in the gym. Pack your trainers, save the taxi money and take in some fresh air. Your mind and body will feel better for it – promise!
Add more protein into every mealtime. It will help to keep you feeling full and will keep your blood sugar level stable.
The only fluid that you drink should be water and drink lots of it, especially in our warm humid climate.
Finally squeeze in a few crunches, Russian twists and planks when you get some free time. Build up the amount that you do each day and you’ll look and feel great the next time you pop on your swimmers!
