This on-going issue in Hong Kong has lead to generations of individuals being unaware of the choices they are making, and the impact these choices will have on their long-term health. Tanja’s goal is to educate a nation, creating sustainable, high quality lifestyles and teach people to “ditch the diets”.
Title of talk: “Training for females over the age of 35″

Title of talk: “Parent Effectiveness Training”

She has trained with Marshall Rosenberg at the Center for Non-Violent Communication’s international intensive trainings and co-wrote with Dr. Louise Porter the Guidance Approach to Parenting’s Effective Parenting program. Katherine has been teaching the course in Hong Kong for 10 years at various locations.
What does it even mean to be a good parent or an effective parent? I think you could get a lot different answers depending on who you speak to, some saying a good parent is one that gets their kids into the right university or pushes their child to excel in a particular area; and other’s who feel they have been good parents if they grow well adjusted resilient children who can bounce back from adversity and have a strong moral compass, motivation for learning, curiosity and a sense of belonging and well being. Others may say they just want their kids to be happy! The answers are as varied as the perspectives of the individuals who are doing the parenting!
